Certified Athletic Trainer

 

Dinika Johnson is a certified athletic trainer, performance enhancement specialist, and corrective exercise specialist with nearly 15 years of clinical experience. Dinika was previously a member of the Georgia State athletics staff where she served as an athletic trainer since 2009 working football, men’s basketball and women’s golf. Johnson came to GSU to work with the inaugural football team as an assistant athletic trainer. She also serves as a PRN athletic Trainer for Northside Hospital working at local Georgia schools and events in the Gwinnett Area. She earned a Master of Science in sports medicine from GSU in 2009 while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Georgia Tech. While with the Yellow Jackets she worked with the softball and football teams. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Johnson graduated from Wingate in 2007 with a B.S. in athletic training. She completed a pair of internships in Charlotte, N.C., first working with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA in the fall of 2005, and then with the Charlotte Sting of the WNBA during the summer of 2006. Johnson is a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Georgia Department of Health, a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and a certified Basic Life Support Instructor by the American Heart Association.
